Hot Boy member Turk wants no parts of the ongoing Rick Ross and Birdman feud. Earlier this week, the Maybach Music boss released the music video for “Idols Become Rivals,” the standout track from Rather You Than Me that finds him defending his longtime friend Lil Wayne. In addition to Wayne, Ross also sticks up for DJ Khaled, who spoke on his relationship with Birdman on The Breakfast Club this morning (June 16), and Turk, who returned from an eight-year bid on gun possession charges a few years back. “Turk came home, take that boy a three piece,” raps Ross on the track.

In an interview with TMZ, Turk, who once sued Birdman for $1.3 million back in 2015 for unpaid royalties, revealed that he hoped his name wasn’t mentioned. “As far as speaking out for another man,” Turk told TMZ, “he can’t speak up for me.”

“Going back and forth, trying to embarrass somebody, or whatever you trying to do, that’s not going to fix the problem,” Turk mentioned. “That’s [going to] make another problem escalate.”

Turk mentioned that he has respect for both Birdman and Rick Ross, and revealed that he squashed his feud with the former. “Me and Birdman, we dealt with our situation, and we handled it like men.”
