Flying Lotus ruffled feathers at Sundance Film Festival with a violent film called Kuso. Though it features performances and music by George Clinton, Hannibal Buress, Thundercat, Brainfeeder, Apex Twin, and Captain Murphy (Flying Lotus’ alter ego), the film triggered a reported mass walkout at the festival.
Now, Flying Lotus is gearing up to release the film to living rooms everywhere on July 21 through a new streaming service called Shudder.
“After Kuso played at Sundance, Shudder have been on top of this thing,” the producer-turned-director tweeted. “I’m so glad my first film will be in the best home possible.”
