It was a month ago when Remy Ma declared that the “dust has settled” in her rap feud with Nicki Minaj. However, following snippets from a Nicki verse for 2 Chainz’s upcoming album and a remix by Remy over Future’s “Mask Off,” the rap war is clearly far from over.

2 Chainz recently previewed records from his forthcoming Pretty Girls Like Trap Music album, and among the teasers included a snippet of his Nicki-assisted record “Realize.” In a snippet of the record, which hit social media, the Queens spitter can be heard claiming Papoose, Remy’s husband of eight years, writing her much-talked about diss track “Shether.”

From “Queen of rap” to “ShETHER”: A quick Remy Ma vs. Nicki Minaj refresher

“I’ve been winning eight years consistently, at least respect it / Papoose wrote a ‘Ether’ record, but I broke Aretha record,” Nicki raps, referencing “Ether” instrumental that Remy used for “Shether” and the feat she accomplished back in March for most singles by a female artist on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Hours after the snippet, Remy loaded in a new clip on her SoundCloud, which happened to be her rendition of “Mask Off.” Over the hit record (and Metro Boomin’s famous flutes), Remy raps: “Murder next / Who I’ma murder next? / Maybe her, nah she ain’t worth it yet / I burned you / Your new name is Bernadette.” If that wasn’t enough, the Bronx Bomber also let loose a few other subliminal lines: “Pulled up riding in the range / You know you winning when your enemies is gang / Fake models hoes getting cute / Don’t hang yourself trying be up in the loop.”

Remy is set to take the stage at Summer Jam this weekend, which should make all of this latest round of activities from both sides interesting.

Will someone get tested on the Summer Jam screen?
