1) “Mandem” by Jay Prince feat. Shakka

London rapper Jay Prince recently shared his latest mixtape Late Summers to help us get ready for the summer season. “Mandem” is the last single off the project, where Jay reflects on his growth as an artist. Providing more detail on the meaning behind the song’s title, the single’s artwork explains: “Mandem is the term used for a group of friends or homies, your people. This term originated from the Caribbean but found its way to the streets of the UK where it is widely used.”

2) “Cuánto” by A.CHAL feat. A$AP Nast

Following the release of his breakthrough LP Welcome To Gazi, A.CHAL returns with his newest project On Gaz. The Peruvian-born artist expands his sound with three bilingual songs, including the vibe-heavy track “Cuánto” featuring A$AP Nast.

3) “Manegos” by Zero Fatigue

The Zero Fatigue crew, made up of members Bari, Smino & Jay2, hop on the Monte Booker produced track “Manegos.” The new release offers some frisky lyrics, which play off the mango theme as the three shares lines about their favorite fruit: “They, they my favorite sweet to eat.”

4) “Good Sign” by Charlotte Dos Santos

Norwegian singer Charlotte Dos Santos caught our attention earlier this year with the release of “Red Clay.” Today she returns with a nostalgic vibe titled “Good Sign,” a perfect track to listen to on a chill, sunny summer day. Make sure to look out for her forthcoming Cleo EP if you like what you hear.

5) “Virgin Atlantic” by JIL

Since embarking on tour with Maggie Rogers, New York City based JIL have returned with another solid track “Virgin Atlantic.” If you’re looking for electronic, psychedelic vibes that give you a sense of flying through space and time traveling to the future, this is the one for you.

6) “Blessed” by Daniel Caesar

Singer-songwriter Daniel Caesar caught our attention a late 2016 with his steamy, soulful single “Get You.” The Toronto artist returns with all the feels on his latest release “Blessed” as he reflects on a deep companionship: “Everywhere that I go, everywhere that I be, if you were not surrounding me with your energy, I don’t wanna be there, don’t wanna be anywhere, any place that I can’t feel you, I just wanna be near you.”

7) “Lift Off” by Garren Sean

If you’re a fan of Chance the Rapper’s Coloring Book, you’re already familiar with Garren Sean’s work. The Bay-area musician has a Grammy under his belt for producing that album, and today he has shared his second single off his upcoming debut album “Lift Off.” The new track illustrates his creativity and versatility as he blends funk, soul and rock seamlessly. This one is perfect for outdoor chilling on a sunny, summer day.

8) “Turn Me Down” by G4SHi

Brooklyn rapper G4SHi returns with “Turn Me Down,” his second single of 2017 which you’ll find on his upcoming project Stairs 2. The track also serves as a celebratory moment for the signing of his management deal with Roc Nation. Make sure to raise the volume on this when you’re looking for a turn up anthem.

9) “1 Percent” by Blake Kelly

L.A. based rapper Blake Kelly shares a new song as part of his weekly Fat Tuesdays release. “1 Percent” offers all the Cali vibes you can ride to during a long drive down the coast with your window downs.

10) “Sky Doesn’t Blue” by Saro

Saro’s latest share “Sky Doesn’t Blue” is the first single off his upcoming sophomore project. The melancholy, emotion-driven track features Saro singing about how colors change over time and things seem to be different as everyone gets older.

11) “Move Too Fast” by Iman Omari feat. Anna Wise

Iman Omari offers his first single off his long-awaited IHY LP, arriving later this summer. After taking a few years off to focus on production & beat tapes, Omari is back on the mic alongside Anna Wise (To Pimp A Butterfly singer-songwriter) over a J LBS (Isaiah Rashad, SiR) production.

12) “Yours” by Leven Kali

As west coast RnB singer, songwriter, and producer Leven Kali prepares for his EP summer release, he shares the sultry, funk-laced single “Yours.” Starting off slow, the track transitions into a more upbeat tempo mid-track as Kali raps: “I ain’t got no plans, got no shit today, we can take our time, babe.”

13) “Heavenly Father” by WALDO

Heavy thoughts weigh on Michigan-based emcee WALDO in his latest track “Heavenly Father.” He has a lot to get off his chest as he speaks to God about life lessons he has learned along the way: “Heavenly father, where do I start? With so many things to get off my chest, speak to my heart.”

14) “N64” by Derin Falana

Ontario artist Derin Falana isn’t new to The Drop, and you may have caught his track “Summer Interlude” in our May playlist. In his latest offering, Falana gives us more heat as he pays homage the much loved video game console Nintendo 64.: “I do this for real man this shit not a video game, I just want to point this is not for material gain, see at any time you know me I can go super smash, I take what I can and the rest it get thrown in the trash.”

15) “DANCING” by bLAck pARty

bLAck pARty first caught our attention back in November 2016 when he released his debut EP MANGO. Now the Little Rock, Arkansas native is back with a new tropical funk track called “DANCING,” where he sings about wanting to dance with a special someone he’s had his eye on: “Can I talk to you, girl I see you right here dancing with your crew, it was your smile that brought me here to you, or maybe it’s the way you did your moves.”

16) “Do Whatchu Want To Me” by NoMBe

The summery, sun-kissed vibes on NoMBe’s latest release “Do Whatchu Want To Me” is nothing like we’ve heard before. The Berlin-born, LA-based artist continues to impress with his diverse style, giving listeners an unique sound with each single he has released since the start of the year. Immerse yourself in the free-flowing, shimmery sounds of his newest track if you’re looking for that perfect summer jam.

17) “Prettiest” by Ro Ransom

As New York emerging singer/rapper Ro Ransom approaches the release of his upcoming project Momentum, he teams up with Toronto’s Jazz Cartier for his latest track “Prettiest.” Ro’s smooth vocals mesh seamlessly with Cartier’s bold bars as the two exchange lines about their lavish lifestyle.

18) “This City” by Adrian Daniel

In his latest offering, Brooklyn-bred artist Adrian Daniel writes a love song for his captivating yet flawed city. If you’re looking for a soulful serenade, you’ll want to check this one out. Once you take a listen, you’ll hear why Adrian’s soul-piercing falsetto has been compared to the likes of The Weeknd and Frank Ocean.

19) “Right Side” by L8LOOMER ft. Dojo Cat

L8LOOMER (formerly known as Broderick Batts) has reemerged with “Right Side,” the first single under his new name. In this sun-soaked track, you’ll hear the L.A.-based artist address various topics including buddhism, shrooms, Mercury in retrograde and more: “If you smell it, yeah bitch it’s that kush / but we zen-zen, light an incense / got a buddha head on my pin then I’ma stay / gotta pay attention, can’t be slipping / cause mercury’s been in retrograde.”
