Twitter is having a meltdown over all of Frank Ocean's festival cancellations
Threats and reactions here.
It was all good just six months ago. After not performing since 2014, Frank Ocean had announced his first set of live shows. He was to perform at a slew of festivals including New York’s Panorama, Washington’s Sasquatch, Los Angeles’ FYF Fest, Alabama’s Hangout, and Spain’s Primavera Sound.
But earlier this month, on May 5, just three weeks before Sasquatch, organizers announced that Ocean had dropped out, citing “production delays beyond his control.”
Then, on May 10, just nine days before the Hangout Festival, the same happened; again, organizers claimed “production delays beyond his control.”
Now, this past Saturday (May 27), less than a week before his scheduled performance at Primavera Sound, it was announced that Ocean had cancelled his set. Unsurprisingly, the reason given in a statement from the festival was, you guessed it, due to “production delays beyond his control.”
Naturally, fans who are still on track to see him perform this summer are experiencing bouts of worry, doubt, anxiety, and anger.
