Earlier this year, ScHoolboy Q announced his plans for a new album just a few days after finishing his massive 66-date international tour and nabbing a Grammy nomination for Blank Face.

Then, last month, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith (the President of TDE) took to Twitter to share that SBQ’s album would be dropping, but after both Kendrick Lamar’s and SZA’s.

Of course, we got K.Dot’s promised LP in the acclaimed DAMN. but, at the time, it was SZA’s project that was still up in the air.

She’d promised us a February 3 release date—after briefly stating last year that she’d quit music altogether—but that date came and went.

However, just last week she finally revealed a new release date (June 9!) which likely means that SBQ’s album is on track, too.

The rapper confirmed as much while on stage with Ab-Soul at his “YMF Tour” stop in L.A. this past weekend, telling the crowd, “And I just might have my album for y’all after SZA so I’m out here.”

It’s SBQ SZN.
