The Manchester terror attack that took place after an Ariana Grande concert shook people around the world, and the pop star has announced plans to do her part to help support the people affected by it.

After tweeting that she was “broken” on the day of the attack and postponing the rest of her tour, she released a lengthier statement on her account on Friday. Grande said that she was inspired by the way that all of her fans, and people around the world, have handled the tragedy, which took 22 lives and injured more than 100 people. She then said that she would be coming back to the city of Manchester, England to put on a concert.

“I’ll be returning to the incredibly brave city of Manchester to spend time with my fans and to have a benefit concert in honor of and to raise money for the victims and their families,” Grande wrote. “I want to thank my fellow musicians and friends for reaching out to be a part of our expression of love for Manchester. I will have details to share with you as soon as everything is confirmed.”

“We will never be able to understand why events like this take place because it is not in our nature, which is why we shouldn’t recoil,” she added. “We will not operate in fear. We won’t let this divide us. We won’t let hate win.”
