On Monday (May 23) evening, at least 22 people were killed and over 60 injured after a bombing at Ariana Grande’s Manchester Arena concert. Among the casualties were children in what the U.K. Prime Minster has called a “sickening” attack. As of now, the man suspected of carrying out the attack has been identified as 22-year-old Salman Abedi, police said today.

In addition, as reported earlier, the New York Times reports that the Islamic State (also known as ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the bombing, which reportedly erupted at the Manchester Arena around 10:30 p.m. when concertgoers were leaving the venue after Grande performed her final song.

The incident unfortunately mirrors the deadly attacks at the Bataclan in Paris back in 2015 during an Eagles of Death Metal concert. Taking to social media, several celebrities and artists have spoken out about the news, sharing concerns for fans and citizens as well as sending out condolences to families and more.
