Blac Youngsta turns himself in over Young Dolph shooting investigation

  /  05.16.2017

Blac Youngsta is now in a Charlotte, N.C. jail after he turned himself in to authorities who were investigating the attempted murder of Young Dolph.

In February, Dolph was in the North Carolinian city on the way to one of his shows when some unknown gunmen fired around 100 shots at his SUV. However, his vehicle was bulletproof and he was not harmed. He later commented on the incident on a project, aptly-titled Bulletproof, via songs including “100 Shots,” “But I’m Bulletproof,” and “I Pray For My Enemies.”

Youngsta’s camp has released a statement to REVOLT TV about the arrest, saying, “Memphis-based rap artist Blac Youngsta has turned himself in on charges filed in Charlotte NC. The warrants served were based on lyrics from rapper Young Dolph’s Bulletproof mixtape. Youngsta will await arraignment while he maintains innocence and no involvement with the incident.”

Dolph was not available for comment.

Youngsta, who has become just as famous, if not more, for his comical social media moments as his music, sat down with REVOLT TV recently and talked about focusing on being an entertainer versus being seen as a tough guy.

“I want to be able to cut it on and cut it off,” he said. “I want to be able to cut on my entertaining personality. I want to be able to cut on my normal personality. A lot of people be too scared to laugh and smile because they too tough for it. They think it makes you soft or weak if you laugh or you smile. Really that makes you gangsta. A gangsta takes care of their family and enjoys life. We don’t hold mean mugs on our face. As far as me being misunderstood, I think people, they probably think I’m dumb.”
