Two weeks ago, Kodak Black appeared in a Florida court for a hearing that would determine whether or not he would finally be released from jail after violating his house arrest; the agreement only allowed him to leave home for pre-approved working purposes.

But last week, upon it being discovered that the rapper made an unauthorized visit to the Miami strip club, as well as an Ohio boxing match, he was found guilty on five of six counts of violating the terms of his house arrest.

Today, The Sun Sentinel reported that Black has now been sentenced to 364 days in a county jail.

He was facing a maximum of 8 years.

Despite the sentence being just a day shy of a full year, it could be shortened to just one month. If Black completes a life skills course ordered by the judge, the sentence would be cut in half to 180 days. However, the rapper would get credit for his time already served, which would cover the majority of that, leaving him with the remaining month. The bad news is, once he gets out, he’d still be on the same year-long term of house arrest and five years of probation. And, of course, if he doesn’t complete the class at all, he’ll remain in jail for the 364 days.

Due to his ongoing legal issues, Kodak was dropped from Future’s ‘Nobody Safe’ Tour and will not be performing at this weekend’s Rolling Loud Festival in Miami.
