Over 40,000 fans a day. 51 artists. Three days. Two stages. The Rolling Loud music festival is set to commence this weekend in Miami.

Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Lil Wayne, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug, A$AP Rocky and Migos are just a handful of the top-of-the-line performers set to hit the stage this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (May 5-7).

Today at Bayfront Park, home of the festivities, the event’s organizers as well as members of law enforcement, the fire department, Uber, our own REVOLT TV, and other integral organizations held a press conference to trumpet Rolling Loud, as well as give clear plans and guidelines concerning travel and public safety.

Tariq Cherif, Rolling Loud’s co-founder and one of the principles of Dope Entertainment, called 2017’s edition of the festival, the third year overall, “the best production you’ll ever see” and “the premiere hip-hop event of the century.”

Cherif has definitely put his money where his mouth is. Over 10 million dollars have been invested in the three-day bonanza.

The spokesperson on-hand for Miami police stressed that safety is the top priority for the department, especially with such a large gathering. There will be a lot of uniformed officers present, but they also encouraged people to “cooperate and have a good time.”

Use of public transportation like the Metro Rail was encouraged over driving as some streets will be blocked off.

Rahman J. Dukes, Senior Vice President of REVOLT TV, also took the podium and spoke of his station’s business alliance with Rolling Loud as the network will be live-streaming the entire festival on its website starting Friday, May 5, at 4pm here.

“We are beyond excited to be partnering with the Rolling Loud festival,” said Dukes. He also noted that this weekend’s activation is one of the biggest in REVOLT TV’s history.
