Earlier this year, Chance the Rapper announced his Spring 2017 tour, now titled the Be Encouraged Tour.

The 43-date excursion would see him traverse North America and Canada (with one stop in London) and, at its kickoff last week in San Diego (April 24), the rapper wowed audiences by playing an alternate version of Kanye West’s “Waves,” a track he wrote and arranged, and the demo of which he once shared with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe.

But, according to recent news, Chance’s fans in Europe won’t get to see him perform that, or any other song, unfortunately.

Consequence of Sound has reported that the rapper has cancelled a series of music festival stops he was scheduled to make in Europe in August before closing out his own tour in October.

The affected dates and shows are:

08/08-12 – Oslo, Norway – Oya Festival

08/10-12 – Gothenburg, Sweden – Way Out West Festival

08/11-12 – Copenhagen, Denmark – HAVEN

08/16-19 – Hasselt, Belgium – Pukkelpop

Chance released a statement to Sweden’s Way Out West stating:

“It is with regret that Chance the Rapper has to cancel his upcoming performance at Way Out West and his European festival tour in August. This is due to scheduling conflicts beyond his control. Chance sends his apologies to his fans and looks forward to returning to Europe soon.”
