Music Video Roundup: Kodie Shane, Jovanie, Little Dragon, HAIM, Jessie Reyez, and Cashmere Cat

House parties, psychedelics, and single-take shots.

Kodie Shane, “A Ok”

Red cups, champagne showers, Spin The Bottle, selfies, and stacks of cash used as cell phones populate this house party.

Jovanie, “Two Seater” feat. Lil Yachty

The teenage star shows off his dancehall-inspired moves in an empty, illuminated lot before Lil Boat, flanked by women, deadpan delivers his verse.

Little Dragon, “Celebrate”

Shot in the Swedish band’s hometown of Gothenburg, and interrupted by a series of psychedelic non-sequitous images, here’s what we managed to make out: frontwoman Yukimi dancing a top a mountain under multicolored fabrics, a slime-spewing pinata, a little figurine moving across frames, and a major guitar solo at the end.

HAIM, “Right Now”

Accompanying the announcement of their new upcoming album Something To Tell You (due July 7), comes this Paul Thomas Anderson-directed visual. Shot in one take and recorded live, the camera follows the trio as middle sister Danielle takes lead vocal at the piano, Este assists in the background while on bass, and Alana hits the electric guitar, before the eldest and youngest take to the drums together.

Jessie Reyez, “Gatekeeper”

Reyez opens the chilling clip by swapping herself out for a young stand-in who mouths the too-true lyrics of her encounter with a manipulative music exec. The scene is alternated with Reyez’s real interpretation of the unfortunate meeting, too.

Cashmere Cat, “9 (After Coachella)” feat. MØ and SOPHIE

Opting for innovation, this documentary-style clip tells the personal stories of collaborators Cashmere Cat and MØ, showing their respective parents and homes of Norway and Denmark, and telling the story of how they met and of the woman who inspired this song.
