It’s been more than 20 years since Snoop Dogg made his memorable entrance to the rap game, but the West Coast rap legend hasn’t forgotten where he came from. And he looks to show exactly that with the cover for his next album, Neva Left.

The cover art shows a young, early 90s Snoop standing in front of an “East California 187” highway sign. The photo was shot by legendary hip-hop photographer Chi Modu, who shot over 30 covers for The Source in the magazine’s heyday.

“The evolution of the dogg,” Snoop wrote as the caption on an Instagram post that revealed the cover.

Neva Left is scheduled to drop on May 19. It’s available to pre-order now, and customers will get “Mount Kushmore” featuring Redman, Method Man and B-Real.
