Moroccan-born singer/songwriter ABIR has an appetite for making music with an outspoken, pull-no-punches approach. Named one of Billboard’s “most exciting new voices,” the 22-year-old vocalist writes with an honest pen and always paying homage to her culture and lifestyle. ABIR’s soulful pop tone derives from years spent listening to jazz and R&B in the back of her father’s car, who owned a limousine company and played the same four CDs on repeat for his clients: Etta Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Celine Dion, and Whitney Houston.
“The goal with my music,” ABIR says, “is to inspire and encourage young people like myself to find their voice and embrace their identity.”

What inspires your art: I’m inspired by real life experiences + people from different walks of the earth.

Instagram, Twitter, or Snapchat? I’m all about visuals and branding so I think Instagram (@xoabir) would definitely be my #1 and the one I use the most.
