It appears that Kendrick Lamar has finally shut down speculation of another new album after DAMN.

After a week of speculation that Kendrick would be releasing an additional album, Kendrick tweeted to his fans that DAMN. is all the fans are getting for now.

“Thank you for the desire of always anticipating new music of my own. None is coming,” he wrote. “My work will be in our future TDE dates though.”

Maybe that means that he’ll appear on the next several TDE releases by SZA, Schoolboy Q and Jay Rock. And hopefully, a DAMN. tour is announced soon.

But the tweet should effectively kill the waiting for another project from Kendrick. First, fans had conspiracy theories that on Easter Sunday, Kendrick would release an album possibly called Nation that would be a lighter half to balance out the grimness of DAMN. The guess was wrong, as his epic Coachella set commenced without incident. But speculation continued when his post-release interview with Zane Lowe was announced, when Kid Capri said they had more music, and again when Kendrick said “I got more music” during Thursday night’s autograph signing in Compton.

Kendrick inferred with Zane Lowe that he didn’t have another album planned, but this tweet should put all questions to bed. Now, we can go back to appreciating DAMN. as is, without the loom of another record.
