Even though Migos didn’t have their own set on a Coachella stage this weekend, the trio of platinum hitmakers felt like the MVPs of the first weekend of this year’s music festival, making show-stealing surprise appearances during their friends’ performances and tearing down parties surrounding the concerts.
On Saturday night, you could hear Rihanna yelling “Migos, Migos” at REVOLT TV Chairman Diddy’s REVOLT House where Migos performed with DJ Esco, Tyga, and Jeremih while French Montana, Rae Sremmurd, Belly, and Wale also attended.
“That REVOLT House was crazy,” Quavo of Migos said yesterday evening in Los Angeles. He was on set for Machine Gun Kelly’s new video “Trap Paris,” which also featured Ty Dolla $ign. “I ain’t gonna lie, that party was crazy. That party was dumb. We just having fun. Hard work pays off. ‘Culture’ album number one. ‘Bad and Boujee’ number one. ‘T-Shirt’ almost three, four times-platinum. We got a lot of good things going on.”
Migos also performed on official Coachella stages, coming out with Future, DJ Snake, and Gucci Mane on Saturday and DJ Khaled on Sunday. It seems Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff were making up for lost time.
“That was our first time being at Coachella,” Quavo explained of his team’s overdrive work schedule. “The first time [Coachella’s organizers] called us, we accidentally missed it. We had so many shows, we missed it. We never came back until now. We’re so honored to be a part of that. Being on the stage, we worked really hard to get back on that stage ever since we missed it. Being a part of that was amazing.”
