For his Coachella debut, Future took the mask off and karate chopped his way to another shining 2017 moment.
The “Mask Off” rapper, who made history this year with back-to-back No.1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart, performed a special set for his Coachella debut. Entering the desert with a loaded set list of hits, he dripped and doused the crowd with a flurry of purply anthems, including “Karate Chop,” “Move That Dope,” “Same Damn Time,” “Where Ya At,” “Low Life,” and “Too Much Sauce” to name a few. In addition to performing songs from DS2, FUTURE and HNDRXX, along with bringing out a flutist to help bring proper life to his biggest hit to date, Fewtch also brought out some guests.
First guest of the night was Ty Dolla $ign, who joined in for “Blasé.” Soon after, the ATLien tapped his Nobody Safe co-stars Migos for “T-Shirt” and “Bad and Boujee.” As if that wasn’t enough, shortly after there was Drake.
Hitting the stage to “Jumpman,” the More Life star jumped into a quick set that included “Gyalchester” and “Fake Love.”
Overall, Fewtch bringing out Drake and Migos captures a victorious moment for all three acts. Future was recognized as the first artist to to ever have two different albums debut at No. 1 two weeks in a row, while Drake earned to right to be hailed as king of the streaming era with More Life. Migos, meanwhile, saw their first Billboard 200 No. 1 this year with the release of C U L T U R E.
