Tory Lanez was arrested on Wednesday (April 12) by Miramar Police in Florida’s Broward County for gun and drug charges.
Following a XXL report on the news, Miramar Police has confirmed the arrest. The Toronto rapper and singer, who recently released the hit album I Told You and mixtapes New Toronto 2 and Chixtape 4, was arrested during a traffic stop in Miramar, Florida. He was charged with carrying a concealed firearm, possession of cannabis, failing to register a motor vehicle, operating a vehicle without valid license and no proof of insurance.
The cannabis charge is a first degree misdemeanor and the firearm possession represents a third degree felony.
The “LUV” singer has since been bonded out of jail. His bond was set at $1,000.
Aside from the unfortunate update, Lanez has a brighter couple of weeks ahead. He is scheduled to appear on Future’s Nobody Safe Tour, which starts next month and features A$AP Ferg, Migos and more. This weekend, he’ll be performing at Coachella.
