It feels like it’s been forever (in new industry terms) since Bryson Tiller’s debut Trapsoul made him one of R&B’s most promising young names, but the Louisville, Kentucky songwriter is just about ready to release his sophomore album.

On Wednesday night, Tiller tweeted that his next album True to Self is done.

“Sophomore album complete. I always feel like I got a lot more to say whenever I’m ‘done’ but I’ll save it for the next one I guess,” Tiller tweeted.

Tiller announced the album title in January, and said he was working “non-stop” on the record until it was finished. A release date hasn’t been announced yet, but last night’s tweet has him delivering on his promise.

Trapsoul earned Tiller a platinum plaque and two BET Awards, for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist and Best New Artist. He made a few cameo appearances with the likes of DJ Khaled, Travis Scott and Chris Brown in 2016, and a few weeks ago he released his first solo song since 2015, “Cake.” Forbes also listed Tiller as one of its Cash Princes of 2017 – an artist most likely to become one of the Cash Kings, or the highest-earning acts in hip-hop. With a new album completed, he may be on the way to another banner year.
