On Monday, rapper Boosie Badazz claimed that a security guard forcefully removed him and members of his family from a Mississippi Mall, using pepper spray in the process. Now, the Louisiana rapper is accusing the cops of stealing over $1 million worth of jewelry after the incident.
Boosie took to Instagram to explain that the jewelry was stolen when cops pulled his van over after leaving the mall. While authorities arrested some of his entourage, they are denying that they have any of the rapper’s belongings in their possession. Check out what Boosie had to say below:
UPDATE: After initially denying it, a Mississippi police department has now said the rapper’s jewelry was indeed taken and will be returned. Biloxi Police Lt. Christopher De Back said Boosie Badazz’s jewelry was impounded Sunday (April 9) when officers arrested five members of the rapper’s entourage for assault. It has since been confirmed by De Back that Boosie did not participate in the assault.
UPDATE: Though police have confirmed that Boosie will get his confiscated jewelry back, the reconciliation didn’t stop the rapper from venting on a new track. Titled “F–k the Police x10,” Badazz can be heard denouncing unlawful police brutality:
“Why you gon’ shoot at the hand, die for the lick / Why you get shoot for the blacks, chasin’ they head / What if your job got shot down for no reason? / He had no gun, hands up, shot for no reason / They charge him, said they gon’ convict him, I don’t believe / Protect and serve, they don’t do it, so we don’t need ’em.”
