Snoop Dogg reflects on Tupac's Hall of Fame induction, says he's ready to enter too

  /  04.11.2017

Classic music and classic stories, Snoop Dogg paid fitting tribute to his friend Tupac Shakur on Friday night (April 7) at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. The Dogg inducted Tupac into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2017 with a profound and honest speech, as well as an energetic and star-filled performance.

On Friday, Snoop talked to REVOLT TV about what it meant to be involved in such a historic milestone for ‘Pac.

“First of all, to be able to honor my homeboy, and to see him get the respect and love and just due that he deserved while he was here,” Snoop said, while sitting in Electric Lady recording studio in lower Manhattan. “Now knowing they can never take it away from him and it’s going to live forever. And I’m going to be connected to it forever, not just through the induction speech, but through the journey, the friendship, the brotherhood, the things he taught me, the things I taught him. Being able to impact the world. From the time that we met, to the time he left, to the time after. Still impacting the world like right now. I’m just here to do my part.”

As for how Snoop feels about now being eligible to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall himself, the iconic MC says he’s on point.

“If they do decide to welcome me back and say, ‘Snoop is welcomed to come back and be inducted,’ I’ll be ready with my blue suit on and my blue suede shoes.”

There is one caveat though: Snoop thinks LL Cool J should be honored by the Hall as well, even before him.

“I’ll wait for Uncle L,” Snoop promised.

We say, let the Rock Hall induct two MCs in one class. LL and Snoop in 2018!
