Last year, Afropunk London was faced with several challenges when launching its inaugural festival—a threatened boycott; a headliner replacement—but things seem to be moving smoothly in its original home of Brooklyn as the line-up for this summer has just been announced.

Much like the Pitchfork Festival where Solange and Saint Heron will be curating a series of events, the record label-turned-“cultural hub” will also be organizing a stage at Afropunk that will feature: Sampha | Thundercat | Sinkane | KING

Kaytranada will also curate a stage, where he will perform alongside: NAO | Sango | J Rocc & Karriem Riggins (Live)

Other scheduled performers include: SZA | Willow Smith | Gary Clark, Jr. | Little Simz | Princess Nokia | Kevin Abstract | The Cool Kids | QUIÑ | Macy Gray | Michael Kiwanuka | Dizzee Rascal | and more.

More headliners to be announced soon.

Afropunk 2017 goes down August 26 & 27 at Commodore Barry Park.
