Rick Ross has struck a plea deal in his assault and kidnapping case, according to TMZ.

In 2015, the rapper was arrested and charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery after allegedly holding a groundskeeper at gunpoint, prohibiting him from leaving the house, and “pistol-whipping” him. Last week (March 24), according to Atlanta’s WSB TV, the rapper appeared in a Fayette County, Ga. court where he and his legal team finally got their immunity hearing; they’d been seeking exemption from prosecution since 2016 claiming self-defense for Ross’ actions.

Today, Ross pled no contest to one felony count of aggravated assault as the other charges were dropped. He was also ordered to pay a $10,000 fine and, upon doing that, his conviction will be erased from his record since he’s being sentenced as a first time felony offender.

Still, Ross was given a total of 60 months probation after pleading no contest to five misdemeanors, including assault, battery, 2 counts of pointing a pistol at someone, and possession of less than 1 oz of marijuana.
