Well, it looks as if a new Kendrick Lamar album may be on the way.
The Compton native has released a brand new video titled, “Humble.,” which puts the focus on Lamar through a variety of eye-popping and humorous scenarios, from laying atop a table of women counting money to a brief recreation of those old Grey Poupon advertisements. While the visuals are damn-near perfect, Lamar’s lyrics are, as you guessed it, the ultimate thought provokers.
Like a cry for help, Lamar rhymes for the betterment of his brethren to remain, the titular, “humble,” and for women to present themselves in the essence of their natural beauty as opposed to hiding behind make-up and Instagram filters.
The new video, directed by Dave Meyers and the Little Homies, comes on the heels of the release of “The Heart Part 4,” itself gaining notoriety for subliminal disses that have been favored to be directed at both Big Sean and Drake. Nonetheless, K. Dot has left us wondering just what exactly is in store come April 7.
