Pharrell is keeping busy after, you know, becoming a father to triplets; signing on to perform at the 10th annual Roots Picnic; developing a musical about his childhood; hitting the studio with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland; and appearing as a guest on Calvin Harris’ just-released summer-ready smash “Heatstroke.” Got all that?
But he doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Nor does the recognition for his achievements.
Come May, the super-producer will deliver the commencement speech to this year’s New York University graduates, as the school announced yesterday. He will also receive a honorary doctorate at the ceremony, a Doctor of Fine Arts degree. Last year, Williams served as an artist-in-residence at the Tisch School of the Arts.
The University’s 185th Commencement Exercises will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in Yankee Stadium.
