Fetty Wap reportedly robbed in New Jersey

  /  03.27.2017

This weekend, Fetty Wap was reportedly the victim of a robbery, and possibly a bystander to a shooting, in his hometown of Paterson, New Jersey. Since the incident happened, police have made an arrest after one of the rapper’s rivals seems to have incriminated himself on social media.

TMZ reports that assailants robbed Fetty of his chain and cash early Sunday morning. Police were dispatched to Montclair Ave. and Paxton Street to look into a fight with shots fired, and two men were found nearby with gunshot wounds to the leg and torso. A third man, who police think was involved, checked himself into the hospital later. Fetty himself wasn’t shot.

No robbery has been reported to police, but photos have surfaced with people wearing what appears to be Fetty’s recognizable chain, which depicts “1738,” a number Fetty shouted out on his song “Trap Queen” to give props to a brand of Remy Martin cognac. Raheem “Fuzz” Thomas, who posted a photo wearing the chain, has since been arrested. Earlier this year, he released “Got Em Remix,” a song dissing Fetty Wap.

Robinson has been booked on gun charges, but he hasn’t been charged for burglary.

“I personally didn’t take @fetywap1738 chain. I’m not responsible for no one else action but my own. I don’t have a personal problem [with] Fetty Wap,” Robinson wrote on his Instagram, before calling Fetty “just a good kid in the way.” “How he got his chain taken I don’t know and don’t care. That’s none of my business. Did I take a picture with it? Yes. The whole down the hill got a picture with it on.”
