If you were hitting some of the livestock parties last night in Austin, TX at SXSW, you know one song that inescapable was the D.R.A.M., Lil Yachty collabo “Broccoli.” The two rocked the song separately during events.
First D.R.A.M was the headliner at the Fader Fort. He ended his proceedings with a flurry of favorites that made him famous.
“Cash Machine” preceded a stripped down, slower version of the platinum plus smash “Cha Cha.” For “Broccoli,” however, the VA native excelled with energy, jumping off the stage and walking amongst the fans singing and rapping his mega hit.
Hours later, at the Copper Events Center, which has been taken over by YouTube for SXSW, Lil Yachty was leaping off the stage too.
“Where the real turnt muthafuckas?,” Lil Boat, onstage with members of his Sailing Team, asked the fans. “I need to open it up for a mosh pit. Open this up. If you not real, that’s cool. Just get out the way.”
Yachty then sprung onto his following, and performed “Minnesota.”
Earlier in the night, the teen titan, surrounded by his rhyming cohorts told the spectators “If you came in this bitch with your gang, say ‘gang!’ If you came in this bitch with your squad, say ‘squad.’”
Yachty and his crew then went into “All In,” which is eight verses long in it’s entirety. “Shoot Off The Roof” came next and then “Broccoli.”
“Ain’t. No. Tellin. What. I’m,” Yachty started to sing with the crowd finishing for him, “beeeeeee onnnnnnn! I’m beeeeyonnnnnd all that f–k shit.”
Not to be forgotten, Yacht also hit the fans with one of his breakthrough records, “One Night.”
“I know you want this for life,” he said. “Taking pictures with all my ice / But I can’t have no wife I just want you for one night.”
