Donald Trump fired back at Snoop Dogg after the rapper’s controversial music video for BadBadNotGood’s “Lavender” (Nightfall remix) featuring Kaytranada, which depicts a clown version of the president getting mock assassinated with a confetti gun. After receiving backlash from folks like Sen. Marco Rubio, who told TMZ that he was concerned about the potential aftermath of Snoop’s performance, Trump himself took offense and, like he always does, made his sentiments public.

Hours after a portion of his 2015 tax returns were finally made public last night (March 14) on MSNBC, Trump used his social media platform to not only label the aforementioned report “Fake News,” but also shed light on Snoop. Tweeting about the video, he asked people to “imagine the outcry” if the West Coast rapper, “failing career and all had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama.” To close out his message, Trump taunted him with “jail time.”

Seems like the same message could be applied to Trump himself for this comment, but that’s neither here nor there.

Snoop has yet to comment but social media is already fired up with reactions.
