Less than a full month since dropping the politically-charged music video to “Tunnel Vision,” Kodak Black earns his biggest hit.

Over on the Billboard Hot 100, the Florida rapper’s buzzing single is now sitting at No. 8, marking his highest placement on the chart to date. Last week the song charted at No. 27.

The news is a bittersweet update for the rapper, who is currently in custody after being arrested back in February for allegedly violating the terms of his house arrest. According to the latest update in his case, as reported by Sun Sentinel, Kodak, born Dieuson Octave, will not be free for at least another 10 days.

The 19-year-old rapper appeared in court Friday for a hearing to see whether or not there was evidence to consider him a “danger” to Broward County residents. A probation report listed the rapper of visiting a Miami strip club February 1, attending a boxing match on February 18, and for failing to complete an anger management course.

As of this writing, it is still unknown as to when Kodak is expected to get out of jail.
