Twisting together rap, electronic and trap into a new musical classification that some call “urban electronic,” this new approach has turned the collective into one of Canada’s most exciting upcoming acts. To further increase the excitement, Kaytranada’s brother Lou Phelps jumped on the single.
4) “Ride Around” by Promnite feat. Adam Vida
Promnite is getting ready to release his upcoming project ‘Snake Charmer EP’ on March 10. The DJ/producer prepares fans with his latest track “Ride Around,” featuring Adam Vida (formally known as A-1). While the song remains true to Promnite’s sound, you can still pick up hints of Bay Area influences in the track. If you’re looking for some Cali vibes to bump, this one is for you.
5) “Touch Road” by Preditah feat. C4
Preditah is back with a new EP ‘Black Canvas’ tomorrow (March 3), his first solo EP in over 18 months which also happens to be released on his new label Circles. To help prepare fans for the project, the Birmingham producer shares “Touch Road,” a grime banger that will surely get you hype for tomorrow’s big drop.
6) “3 Below” by SAINt JHN
Later this spring, Brooklyn’s SAINt JHN will release his debut album Collection 1. Get familiar with rising artist before his big release with his new single “3 Below,” a hard-hitting, bass driven banger.
7) “Grateful” by Sylvan LaCue
Miami artist Sylvan LaCue returns with “Grateful,” a track dedicated to God and all of those who have helped him along the way: “God with me at my lowest moments, blessings on blessings right under noses, open up your heart and smell the roses.”
8) “D/vision” by J.I.D
Recent Dreamville signee and East Atlana emcee hops on the J. Cole produced track “D/vision” featuring EarthGang, giving us a first taste of his upcoming project ‘The Never Story.’ Mark your calendars, it drops this Friday (March 10).
9) “You Ain’t Shit” by wolftyla
New York’s wolftyla airs out frustrations about an untrustworthy partner in “You Ain’t Shit”: “All of them messages came through, all of my wishes just came true, all of the bitches that I was suspecting you was texting on the low, screen shotted them pictures just came to, you can’t deny it, don’t even try it, this shit ain’t good for me fuck up my diet, I thought we was vibing.”
10) “Know No Better” by Jarami feat. Gizzle
Swedish duo Jarami share their debut single “Know No Better” featuring Gizzle. The producers who are known for their work with Janet Jackson, Gallant, Marc Bassy and AlunaGeorge are now sharing their very own tunes, starting off with this bass-heavy, dance-worthy hit.
11) “Red Clay” by Charlotte Dos Santos
Charlotte Dos Santos gives fans a first taste of her upcoming EP with the single “Red Clay.” The Norwegian singer-songwriter offers soulful, sensual vibes on her latest. Like what you hear? Stay tuned for her EP ‘Cloe’ dropping later this Spring on Fresh Selects.
12) “Bag” by The Goldenchild feat. WeLLs B
Hip-hop artist The Goldenchild shares his up-tempo track “Bag” featuring WeLLs B. Providing more info on the release, Goldenchild says: “Real rap meets new age hip hop [in “Bag”] – describing life’s struggles and overcoming the things holding us back in the past, guiding us to a brighter more successful, [focused] part of life.”
13) “Pull Over” by Terrell Mackey
Terrell Mackey delivers in his latest offer “Pull Over,” singing about the experiences and troubles faced while growing up in North Philadelphia: “Bullets fly by the playground most of my days, grandma raised, no we sip champagne when we thirsty.”

Following the success of his hit track “Caroline,” Aminé returns with the bouncy, bass-heavy track about his whip titled “REDMERCEDES”: “This shit so clean, I put that on my life, red Mercedes beam, it’s a different type.” Don’t be surprised if you catch yourself bobbing your head to this one.
16) “Father Son Holy Smoke” by Smino
Before Smino’s project blkswn drops March 14, the artist shares his last single “Father Son Holy Smoke,” confronting many of the issues we face in our society: “Me don’t wanna hurt no body yeah, we just want my people thriving yeah, kill the cops and starve the culture vultures, I’m learning to teach my kids about agriculture, F.D.A approving murder burgers, the bullets ain’t the only thing that hurt us, we’re really all supposed to serve a purpose.”
17) “To The Light” by A.CHAL
After a 9-month hiatus, A.CHAL shares “To The Light.” By the closing of the song, A.CHAL says he’s living life on his own terms and fam always comes first: “I’ve been doin’ things how I wanna, focused on the fam in mi casa.”
18) “Wish You Well” by Amir Obé
Def Jam signee Amir Obé shares the first single off his upcoming, debut EP NØTÇW. Obé makes it very clear he’s been putting in that work and will take the time to celebrate his blessings and success: “Champagne showers on the way, I’ve been working twenty-five hours everyday, Pull up with the ‘bands, have ’em dancing in the rain.”
19) “Call Me” by Promnite feat. Mark Johns
“Call Me” is the third song off Promnite’s newly released 4-track EP Snake Charmer. On this track you’ll find some catchy house vibes paired with Mark Johns’ irresistible vocals. This one is quite fitting for the dance floor.
20) “Upps” by WILLS
It was nearly 3 months ago when Bronx artist WILLS shared “Weeps,” and now his latest offering “Upps” has arrived via the label Iamsound. Providing more detail on the track, WILLS explains: “I made the song as a spacious, contemplative world of sound. Despite the skyward title “Upps” – the song is a prayer of/for gravity.”
21) “Too Fast” by Khary and Lege Kale
Khary and Lege Kale share the second single off their upcoming joint EP Tidal Graves. “Too Fast” is all about going after your dreams and never taking a moment to second guess yourself: “This is for the young and reckless, with dreams of their own profession, with no time to second guess it, with no time to answer questions.”
22) “September Rose” by Cailin Russo
22-year-old L.A. based artist Cailin Russo shares her debut single “September Rose.” The jazz-inspired song reflects on young love and a relationship not being able to work because of ill-timing: “Too young, too naive, too distracted to believe, that we’d make it through the rain, you know that seasons change.”
23) “Water” by Kidepo
5 days ago, Kidepo shared his latest visual for his track “One,” giving us a hint that new music could be on the way. Today he returns with a new song titled “Water.” Giving more detail on the song, Kidepo says: “‘Water’ is a melodramatic ode to being young and directionless. It’s aspirational in a way I’m typically not, but I think that must have been what I needed to hear. I still do need to hear that sometimes, and I hope that counts for something.”
24) “Freak Like Me” by NoMBe
NoMBe kicked off 2017 with “Wait” and “Young Hearts.” Now the LA-based artist has shared one of his best tracks yet, “Freak Like Me,” a song in which he sings about his passionate romance with sultry energy and fiery guitar riffs. This one leaves us even more excited for the rest of his debut LP They Might’ve Even Loved Me.
25) “ethereal” by Kyle Tolbert
As 17-year-old artist Kyle Tolbert prepares his project ‘Homecooking,’ he also plans to share 2 new tracks every month. “ethereal” is one of the tracks he has offered for the month of March, in which he sings about looking towards the sun during dark times and not wasting time to go after what you want: “so open up the sun please, lately shit been getting too dark for me, time is only for the patient, if time is running why we waiting.”
26) “Keep Her” by St. Beauty
You may have heard of Atlanta’s duo St. Beauty after their song was featured in Issa Rae’s Insecure. Now the two have shared a short and sweet song “Keep Her,” in which they sing about parting ways with a guy after hearing too many lies and crying too many tears.
27) “Reload” by Joël Lobban
Toronto continuously blesses us with new acts, including Joël Lobban. This new wave R&B artist shares his debut single “Reload,” a song about fickle friends, personal trials and distant relatives. The slow-tempo sensual vibe starts with Lobban’s vocals taking center stage, and slowly transitions into an upbeat, electronic tune.
28) “About It” by BlaqTuxedo
Sacramento’s sibling duo BlaqTuxedo (made of Darius and Dom Logan) share new music off their upcoming 11-track project Tap In. “About It” is an energetic, club banger laced with heavy bass lines that’s sure to get you fired up. When the two are not focusing on music of their own, they’re busy songwriting for other artists and have written hits for Chris Brown, Meek Mill, Ciara, August Alsina, Omarion and others. They even landed a Grammy nomination in 2014. These two are a force to reckoned with. Stay on the lookout for the Dj Carisma hosted project Tap In dropping April 7th.
29) “Sometimes” by Aaron Alexander
21-year-old artist Aaron Alexander released his smooth single “Sometimes.” The track is off his upcoming project ‘Memento Mori.’ If you are looking for that cruise control music, look no further.
30) “Don’t Mention My Name” by Tiara Thomas
Singer-songwriter Tiara Thomas shares her 5-track EP Don’t Mention My Name. If you’re looking for an acoustic, laid-back R&B vibes this one is for you. In her title track “Don’t Mention My Name” she harmonizes about her ex, and makes it very clear she wants no ties with him: “I don’t want stress, I don’t want press, I don’t like mess, ‘less it’s ’bout my sex, you don’t get nothing, but you can get flex, if somebody ask you about your ex, don’t mention my name, ‘cause you be dropping names, don’t mention my name, yeah, ‘cause you running games, don’t mention my name, that’s so fucking lame.”
31) “Impossible” by Lucien Parker
19-year-old Minneapolis rapper Lucien Parker calls out his competition and addresses the rocky road travelled in pursuit of success over the BNJMN produced track “Impossible”: “I originated from the impossible, that’s a rock rocky road, we are not the same, you just gotta look, way I play the role, had these niggas shook.”
