Earlier this year, Forbes announced its 30 Under 30 list and last year, it named the highest-earning couple, but now it has shared the names of the 10 artists who’ve nabbed coveted spots on its Cash Princes of 2017 roster.

The list, which serves as Forbes’ prediction of the artists most likely to ascend to Cash Kings status—otherwise known as hip-hop’s highest-earning acts—has only a few limitations: the artist must be under the age of 30, must be primarily classified as hip-hop/rap, and must not have already appeared on a Prince or King list. Also, despite its title, the list includes women as well—princesses, if you will.

This year, the judges were comprised of Too Short, Dave Free (Kendrick Lamar’s manager), Little Simz, and Forbes’ staff members Zack O’Malley Greenburg and Natalie Robehmed.

The publication noted some discoveries made while compiling the list, including that “hip-hop is no longer a regional or even national movement,” though some acts did hail from “traditional hip-hop strongholds,” and that some artists “rode chart success” while others “got a boost from guest appearances.”
