UK festival goers will get a Roc Boy this summer.

Just days after his historic induction in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Jay Z will headline this year’s V Festival. Initially revealed in a now-deleted tweet from Ticketmaster, the Roc mogul will share the headline bill with Pink at the festival in August. Held in Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex and Weston Park in Staffordshire, the V Festival takes place August 19 and August 20.

The last time Jay Z headlined a music festival was last year at the inaugural Global Citizen Festival in India. More than just another Hov performance announcement, the festival news comes as rap fans anticipate a new album from him this year.

Last year, we lined, up all of the signs pointing to a new album from Jigga. This year, Zaytoven revealed that Jigga requested specific beats during a recent studio visit. “When I talked to him, he gave me specific type of beats he wants from me,” the producer told REVOLT. “He was like, ‘I need them pianos and strings.’ So that means you’ve been paying attention. So that alone, it gave me another confidence level and lets me know that people like that are listening to my music.”

Days after Zaytoven’s reveal, TMZ cameras caught Jay leaving what appeared to be a recording studio with longtime friend and recording engineer Young Guru and Roc Nation’s Juan Perez. Weeks later, DJ Khaled premieres a brand new record featuring Jay Z and Beyoncé for his Grateful album, titled “Shining.” Released after the 2017 Grammy Awards, the record featured another noteworthy verse from Jay and breezy hook from Bey. The single is already on pace to become another Top 50 hit for all parties.

Between the V Festival announcement and recent signs of new music, will the summer return to its famous poster boy?
