After spending weeks behind bars following the Irving Plaza shooting in May and being released on $500,000 bail, Troy Ave made an appearance in court on Friday (February 10) for a pre-trial on his on attempted murder charges.

During the hearing, Manhattan prosecutors agreed to overturn a ban that prevented him from performing as part of his bail conditions, according to The New York Daily News. But Assistant District Attorney Christine Keenan said Troy will only be allowed to perform if accompanied by a security guard and that the venues must search him and his fans.

Prosecutors disclosed that DNA evidence indicated Troy did not bring the gun used in the shooting, but Keenan said the development did “not alleviate criminal responsibility for his actions.”

Troy came to the court wearing a floor-length fur coat, bulletproof vest, and a red python skin baseball hat that read “Bake Water Whip Weight Again.”
