Besides prepping to debut his feature film “Kuso” to Sundance, Flying Lotus has other big plans this year.
In addition to searching for distribution for the aforementioned film, the producer is gearing up to curate the Sled Island Music & Arts Festival in Calgary, Alberta. Flying Lotus will be one of the guest curators for the festival, which takes place June 21 through 25. He is also set to perform at the event on June 24 at The Palace Theatre. Besides performing, Lotus’ curating duties include designing the full programming for the late-June festival. His selections for the fest will be announced in April.
The producer released his last studio album, You’re Dead!, in 2014 and is set to take his next musical step via the upcoming debut feature-length film, “Kuso,” which will feature new original music from FlyLo, Aphex Twin, and Akira Yamoaka.
