Soulja Boy’s California home was burglarized of more than $20,000 worth of assets this week.
According to TMZ, the alleged burglar entered the rapper’s Hollywood Hills residence by removing the front door and eventually stole about $10,000 in cash and $12,000 worth of jewelry this past Tuesday morning (January 10).
Surveillance cameras at the home reportedly captured a glimpse of the suspect. Local police continue to investigate the incident.
The rapper was not home during the burglary.
The news comes weeks after Soulja Boy earned meme recognition for his recollection of a 2008 home invasion that resulted in the rapper firing shots at the burglars.

In related Soulja Boy news, rumor has it that the alleged boxing match between the rapper and Chris Brown will be held in Abu Dhabi with singer Kelly Price now attached to perform the National Anthem. However, in an interview with ESPN, Floyd Mayweather revealed that the speculated bout would not take place in Abu Dhabi, as he would rather have it in Los Angeles or Las Vegas. The boxing champ also stated his reasoning for getting the fight, stating, “My thing is this. You know hip-hop artists, R&B artists talking about physically hurting each other in the streets. My thing is put down the guns and put on the gloves. It can be a charity bout and the money can go towards something positive.”
While everyone continues to question the likelihood of the match taking place, Mayweather revealed that things are still being worked out. “Is the fight going to happen? We’re working on it; it’s a lot of work,” said Floyd.
And the saga continues.
