As successful as Anderson .Paak’s 2016 was—having released Malibu at the top of it, garnered a Grammy nomination for it, and wowed audiences again and again with his seamless multi-instrumentalist skills at numerous festivals—much of it could not have been done without his backing band, The Free Nationals. And now the three-man group is getting their own shine.

Comprised of guitarist Jose Rios, bassist Kelsey Gonzalez, and producer Callum Connor a.k.a Lo_Def (who produced much of .Paak’s Venice album), the trio will be releasing their full-length debut later this year.

Both the band and .Paak took to Twitter and Instagram to share the artwork and snippets from the project, title still unknown. And from the sounds of it, we can expect a groovy banger.

Both .Paak and The Free Nationals have been recruited to open for Bruno Mars on his 24K Magic tour. See the dates below!
