At least 17 people have been arrested in connection to the robbery that left Kim Kardashian bound, gagged, and held at gunpoint in a Paris hotel last October.
According to Europe 1, the suspected thieves were arrested early Monday morning during 6 a.m. raids conducted by the Paris Bandit Brigade in different locations including Paris, Rouen, and Grasse.
FOX News reports that the suspects are aged between 23 to 72 and “were already known for prior robberies and other crimes.” According to the New York Daily News, a bystander found a diamond pendant that a suspect had dropped while fleeing the hotel on bike and turned it into police hours after the robbery. A police source then told Agence France Presse that a DNA sample recovered at the crime scene was linked to a prolific robber known to authorities.
An official confirmed “that multiple firearms, including an automatic pistol, and 140,000 euros ($147,500) in cash were found during the raids.” But, as of now, no one has been formally charged.
