It looks like Jay Z finally called Kanye West. Over the weekend, Kanye and Kim Kardashian West were reportedly spotted going to Blue Ivy’s fifth birthday party. They didn’t bring their children, North and Saint, so if they left the kids at home then perhaps they went to handle grown folks business.
Fans were alarmed after Kanye spoke out against Beyoncé and Jay Z onstage at two separate stops of his Saint Pablo Tour. In October in Seattle, Yeezy said, “There will never be a Watch the Throne 2. He went on to divulge how he and the music got caught up in the streaming wars between services such as Tidal and Apple Music, basically accusing Jay of putting politics first.
He later lashed out at Beyoncé, in November in Sacramento, expressing that he was “hurt” because he heard that she said she wouldn’t perform at the MTV VMAs unless she won Video of the Year over him. He went on to say: “Jay Z, call me, bro. You still ain’t call me. Jay Z, call me. Hey, bro, Jay Z, I know you’ve got killers. Please don’t send them at my head. Just call me. Talk to me like a man.”
But as Angela Yee explained Monday (January 9) on The Breakfast Club perhaps the first steps have been taken to put all the drama behind them.
“From reports, Jay Z does feel bad for Kanye,” Yee said. He knows he’s going through a lot, and he understands that he’s still dealing with his mother’s passing, and Kim Kardashian getting robbed.”
