Back in December, Lupe Fiasco announced retirement plans after getting called out for claims of anti-semitism for a song called “N.E.R.D.” After defending the track hard on Twitter, Lupe announced plans to retire. “I get the hint God. Yo Lupe fans it’s been fun and I hope you’ve had fun,” he wrote. “I’m officially not releasing anymore music. Albums cancelled.” Now, almost a month removed from the announcement, Lupe is readying plans for his new album, DROGAS Light.

As the proper follow-up to 2015’s Tetsuo & Youth, the new album is due out February 10 on his own label, 1st & 15th/Thirty Tigers, and features appearances from Rick Ross, Ty Dolla $ign, Gizzle, Big K.R.I.T., and more. Lupe officially unveiled the LP plans today (January 6) featuring a trailer and three tracks, including “Made in the U.S.A.,” “Pick Up the Phone,” and “Wild Child.”

So despite the retirement plans, Lupe appears to be back and ready to knock out 2017. Pre-order DROGAS Light here.
