New year, new money for Young Money. Lil Wayne announced Tuesday morning that he’s gotten into the sports management game. Young Money is joining forces with Dallas-based APAA Sports Group.

Wayne was a guest on ESPN’s First Take, and while sitting down at the roundtable with pundits Stephen A. Smith, Max Kellerman, and fellow guest Wale, Weezy elaborated on his new venture. “We merged with APAA Sports,” Wayne said. “Now it’s Young Money/APAA.”

Weezy, a frequent First Take guest who fans know has an undying affinity for sports, said he’ll be playing an integral part in his clients’ lives both personally and professionally. “It’s just helping these players do more off the football field and off the court,” Lil Tunechi divulged. “To make sure what they do with their finances and credibility help their families for the rest of their lives.”

While on the show, Wayne, who does the theme for First Take competitor Skip and Shannon: Undisputed on Fox Sports, also rocked the mic with Wale. The two performed Wale’s new single “Running Back.”
