The first picture of Troy Ave since he was shot on Christmas Day surfaced shortly after 11 PM tonight. 50 Cent posted a picture of himself bedside with Troy Ave. 50 had a smirk as he pointed his hand to the camera, thumb down and two fingers pointed in a gun gesture.

“Dope boy Troy All Good,” 50 said in his caption. Meanwhile Troy was bandana round his head in the picture. He had a bandage on his right arm and way looked to be a towel draped over his shoulder.

Troy was shot in his red Maserati late in the afternoon on Christmas while visiting family in Brooklyn. An unknown assailant shot him in the arm and back and grazed him in the head. After escaping the gunfire, Ave–who’s real name is Roland Collins–was taken to a nearby hospital by a friend. Police have yet to name a suspect.

50 Cent and Ave, who collaborated on the song “Bang, Bang,” in 2015, seemed to have developed a tight friendship over the past couple of years. Both have spoken highly of each other in interviews and 50 was quick to defend Troy in the media when the Brooklyn MC was charged with attempted murder and gun possession in May. During an incident at Irving Plaza, Ave was shot in the leg and his friend and security Ronald “Banger” McPhatter was fatally wounded with gun fire by a gunman who is still at larger and unidentified. In the fracas, Ave was caught on security surveillance footage firing off a gun in the venue.
