Palm Beach, Fla.’s Choppa Zoe says he feels blessed to see his grind paying off, not just with recognition from the fans but from his peers who he looks up to in the game, such as Lil Kim and DMX who he’s opened up concerts for.
In his just-released video for “Okay Okay,” Chop gets a slew of big-ups from big dawgs including DJ Khaled, The Game, O.T. Genasis, Swizz Beatz, and E-40.
“It’s dope; they love the record,” Chop recently told REVOLT from his adopted hometown of the Bronx, NY. “They rockin’ with it. Even the fans, when I perform it, it’s a crazy feeling. To see [my peers] shout it out is a great feeling.”
Choppa says the visual’s storyline was inspired by Notorious B.I.G.’s “Mo Money, Mo Problems.”

“I was able to do something I was a fan of for a long time,” he explained. “The ‘Mo Money, Mo Problems’ video, I took the concept from it with the golf course scene. The lyrics of my song, I was actually able to play out. I got the white Bronco in it like OJ [Simpson]. I got the police in there chasing me. ‘Okay Okay’ is a fun video, I bring [my words] to life with this video. It’s a dope video. I know you gonna enjoy it.”
During the holidays, Chop is visiting Florida to do shows in Miami and says his homecoming is especially sweet because the song is bunking in his home state.
“I’ve always wanted that home love,” Choppa said. “They’re playing the record a lot. I’m hearing it in the streets and People are calling me when they’re on vacation talking about the song. Florida is home. You always want the support of home. I got the Zoes supporting it on the street even.”
