Chris Brown, “Party” feat. Usher and Gucci Mane

The previous CB x Usher collab, “New Flame,” was OK. But with “Party,” the duo are back to do what only they can: execute dance moves so fluid their bodies seem made of elastic. Usher, the elder statesmen, slides through (literally) for a fire verse, while Gucci, as always, turns up the party in this dimly-lit warehouse danceoff.

Blood Orange, “Better Than Me” feat. Carly Rae Jepsen

In this self-directed clip (which opens with the spoken word from his Freetown Sound opener “By Ourselves”), Blood Orange and a group of suited dancers perform a perfectly synchronized and expressive dance in a sun-soaked studio as Carly Rae watches on wistfully. All this, before the track segues into a jazzy instrumental interpretation of album cut “Chance.”

Alessia Cara, “Seventeen”

Alessia grows up before our very eyes on a single bus ride, from a supervised child, pigtailed adolescent, and rowdy teenager to a makeup-adorned twenty-something, new mom, and mother of her own teen. Until finally, she’s an elder, alone and reflecting.

Trey Songz, “Comin Home”

Trey heads back to Virginia for the holidays and invites viewers into his home where black-and-white portraits and interviews are spliced with footage of his family dancing, laughing, hugging, and sharing quality time.
