Soulja Boy arrested at Hollywood Hills home for probation violation
The rapper was arrested after a firearm was recovered from his home.
Soulja Boy was arrested on Thursday (December 15) at his home in Hollywood Hills for a probation violation.
According to authorities, the rapper, born DeAndre Way, was arrested after Los Angeles police said they responded to a home in the 3200 block of Dos Palos Drive where he was later booked on the charge.
A firearm was retrieved from his home.
The rapper’s probation stemmed from a January 2014 arrest for illegally carrying a loaded firearm, for which he pled no contest in December 2014. He took a plea deal that included 24 months of probation during which he could not possess any weapons. Back in 2011, he was arrested on drug and weapon charges in Temple, Georgia. In 2013, he was also kicked off a plane following an altercation with flight attendants.
The news of Soulja Boy’s arrest stirred numerous response from folks online, including Lil Yatchy.
