Macklemore and Ryan Lewis performance at the 46th Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival over Labor Day Weekend was a return to their roots. Both have been to the annual festival many times as fans and later as performers, but this time they’re headlining.
Few people have meant more to the Seattle music community recently than Macklemore and Ryan Lewis – not just because of their chart-busting hits and commitment to social causes, but because of their undying loyalty and love for the people and culture of the Pacific Northwest.
Hear the duo discuss what it’s like to return home, from headlining a festival for thousands to performing at local venues where they got their start. Watch live performances from the Bumbershoot main stage of “Ten Thousand Hours,” “Downtown,” and “Can’t Hold Us.”
“I get to travel all around the world for a living, and there’s no place more beautiful than the Pacific Northwest—and in particular, Seattle.” – Macklemore
