With 9 nominations, Beyoncé is already leading the pack in Grammy nods for next year’s ceremony. But that’s not all that’s making her stand out.

She’s also the first artist ever to be nominated in four different musical genres in the same year.

Bey’s latest LP Lemonade is being recognized in the Best Urban Contemporary Album category, while her song “Hold Up” is being considered for Best Pop Solo Performance, her song “Don’t Hurt Yourself” (with Jack White) is up for Best Rock Performance, and her song “Freedom” (with Kendrick Lamar) is being given a nod for Best Rap/Sung Performance.

(This is in addition to being up for Album of the Year (Lemonade), Song of the Year (“Formation”), and Record of the Year (“Formation”), by the way.)

Even Bill Freimuth, the Recording Academy’s Vice President of Awards, is shocked at the accomplishment, telling Complex:

“You’ve had other artists in the past, say Michael Jackson maybe, who have been nominated in that many different fields, but not in the same year and on the same album. This is a first timer for us and personally I think it’s appropriate and pretty cool.”

With these nine new nods under her belt, Bey is now the most-nominated female artist in history, with 62 total.

But with only 20 actual wins, she’ll have to nab eight more golden gramophones to beat the most-awarded female artist in history, Allison Krauss (who has 27).
