Kanye West has been released from UCLA Medical Center after being admitted last week Monday (November 21) for “his own health and safety” following an incident in which he allegedly assaulted a gym staff member.

At the time, West’s physician said the rapper was suffering “from temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration,” and the 911 dispatcher can be heard describing the situation as a “psychiatric emergency.”

West was scheduled to be released from the hospital this past Monday (November 28), but was not “stable enough” and was struggling with extreme paranoia.

And earlier today, it was reported that he suffered a “nervous breakdown” due to the anniversary of his mother’s death. (Donda West passed November 10, 2007.)

However, West is now back home with wife Kim Kardashian and kids North and Saint, and is still under the care of his physician Dr. Michael Farzam (who made the initial 911 call).

His admittance to the hospital came after a troubling few weeks during which West declared his support for Donald Trump during a Nov. 17 show in San Jose; walked off stage never to return after performing three songs and going on a tirade about Jay Z and Beyonce during a Nov. 19 show in Sacramento; and then cancelled the remaining 21 dates of his Saint Pablo Tour without explanation.
