To commemorate the five year anniversary of their Free Bricks joint mixtape, Gucci Mane and Future connect for a sequel, titled the “Zone 6” edition.

Just hours after the announcement of his first No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, thanks to his appearance on Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles,” Gucci Mane took to Twitter last night (November 14) and released the surprise for fans. At six tracks, the new EP finds Guwop and Fewtch picking up where they left off on their 2011 collaborative mixtape. In a note detailing the joint project, Gucci told Miss Info the final product is the result of a covert studio session.

“We ditched our entourages, we didn’t book my usual studio, or his usual studio…it’s like we knew we wanted to fly under the radar,” he said. Guwop also revealed the records are less than 24 hours old and that “even Future didn’t think we were dropping this tonight.”

Stream Free Bricks 2: Zone 6 Edition below and stay tuned for Gucci’s The Return of the East Atlanta Santa project, which arrives December 16th.

The joint release comes after Gucci’s go-to producer Zaytoven teased a possible tag-team project between the rapper and Drake, reportedly titled The 6’ers. Gucci’s Free Bricks partner-in-rhyme however, recently released a collab with the Toronto rapper featuring Zaytoven on the keys, called “Used to This.” The collaboration is expected to appear on Future’s next project.
