The streaming wars have Kanye West on the fritz once again.
During the Seattle stop of his Saint Pablo Tour on Wednesday (October 19), West took a moment to address some of his issues with Apple and Tidal and why The Throne’s appearance on Drake’s “Pop Style,” failed to make Views’ final cut.
“Out of respect for Meek Mill, he [Jay Z] didn’t wanna be on the track,” ‘Ye explained. He further elaborated on his position among his fellow emcees, suggesting he’d call up the feuding Mill and the 6 God in order to squash the beef so fans can get their hands on good music. “Then it went out of that category and went into some Tidal, some sh-t, some political sh-t, some sh-t about percentages on songs.”
After a brief pause, West admitted, “I can’t take this sh-t bruh.”
The Chicago native also blames his big brother, Jay Z, for the sequel to Watch the Throne that will never be.
“There will never be a Watch the Throne 2. You know why? Because that’s the reason why I wasn’t on the song. I wasn’t on the song ‘cause of Hov. ‘Cause of this Tidal, Apple, bullsh-t. And this sh-t be getting me tight every time I perform this motherf-cker. Y’all didn’t get what y’all was supposed to get with me and Drake on this because of this Tidal, Apple, bullsh-t.”
After getting the streaming angst off of his chest, ‘Ye made sure to address Jay’s sincerity towards wife Kim Kardashian’s robbery in Paris, saying, “Don’t call me, after the robbery, and say “how you feelin?” You wanna know how I’m feelin? Come by the house.”
